On the occasion of the 2020 World 5G Convention, Social media influencers Lee and Oli Barrett, father and son, voiced their inner thoughts about China’s 5G development.

Lee and Oli come from England. Lee has been coming to China for more than 12 years. He first came to Shanghai, then moved to Guangzhou and finally decided to live permanently in Shenzhen. Oli just came to China 18 months ago. He also lives in Shenzhen now. Since the outbreak of the coronavirus, they started making Youtube videos and vlogging because they wanted to put more factual information out there to dispel some of the misconceptions western people have about China. They mainly make videos about technology, hot topics about international affairs, travels and city development in China, etc. They both are very passionate about technology. In their point of view, Shenzhen is arguably the most futuristic city in the world at the moment. And Shenzhen is also the first city in China to be completely covered by 5G.
