Shenzhen has released a guide on applying for subsidies for the Shenzhen-Hong Kong cross-border maritime express transport, the city’s commerce bureau announced Sunday.

As part of the government relief package, the financial assistance applies to enterprises that handle container import and export businesses with Hong Kong between March and June 2022. The subsidies will be given to eligible companies based on the number of containers they ship. The subsidy is 428 yuan (US$64.2) per TEU (twenty-foot equivalent unit) transported in March, 357 yuan for April, 285 yuan for May, and 214 yuan for June.

The commerce bureau will publish a list of enterprises meeting the requirements each month on its official website and WeChat account for public review.

After the review periods, eligible firms need to fill out an online application form at http://zj.commerce.sz.gov.cn and submit relevant paper-based materials before the deadlines. A detailed guide can be found at the bureau’s WeChat account (szsswj).
