The Hengqin New Area has recently launched a new service sector for online registration in its official e-platform for public services, allowing professional enterprises and professionals from Hong Kong and Macao to conduct registration procedures.

Years ago, the Hengqin New Area started to pilot a new policy, allowing certain professionals and institutions in construction, tourism, and social work services to have qualifications acceptable to work in the Area. Before that, they needed to finish the registration procedures and apply for a qualification certificate.

It is the first service sector exclusive for Hong Kong and Macao residents in China. Professional enterprises and professionals in construction engineering from Hong Kong and Macao can quickly finish registration procedures online. What they need to do is to upload the required materials. Later they will get the certificate mailed to their home without visiting relevant government departments. In addition, the platform offers clear video guidance for each step, helping people understand easily.

Offline services are also available at the same time, and people can choose what they feel is convenient.

According to an official from the Hengqin New Area government, the launching of the sector aims to create a better business environment for companies and professionals from Hong Kong and Macao and help Hong Kong and Macao residents adapt to their work and life in the GBA mainland cities quickly.
