Starting from July, Guangzhou will generate free COVID-19 vaccinations for citizens over 60 years old. At present, people over the age of 60 who need to be vaccinated for special reasons can also go to the community health service agency in their place of residence with relevant documents to consult about vaccinations.

According to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, as of May 18, 2021, 6.32 million people in Guangzhou had been vaccinated with 8.56 million injections of COVID-19 vaccine.

After finishing the COVID-19 vaccination among high-risk exposed personnel, Guangzhou is now fully carrying out the vaccination for the target population aged 18 to 59. Citizens aged 18 to 59 can participate in group vaccination in schools or work units, or to make an inoculation appointment in “Guangzhou Health Kit” (Guangzhou Jiankang Tong廣州健康通) WeChat official account, or to get vaccinated in the corresponded community health service center.
