Now Guangdong is improving policies and measures to facilitate Hong Kong and Macao people to develop better in the province. For Shenzhen, the city has unveiled 18 measures to facilitate Hong Kong, Macao residents in education, employment, entrepreneurship, and living.

In detail, six measures are involved in education, such as compulsory education, college scholarships, vocational education cooperation and cooperative education between Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao.

Three measures mainly cover employment such as a supporting internship policy for Hong Kong and Macao students, professional qualification certification and talent policy. Four preferential policies are given for start-ups in subsidies or funds, etc.

As for providing conveniences for living, the city has issued five policies relating to residence permits, housing for talents, transportation concessions, social security cooperation and building a comprehensive service platform.

What's more, four of the above measures are making efforts to enable Hong Kong and Macao residents to enjoy the same treatment as local Shenzhen residents. For instance, Hong Kong, Macao students are allowed to come to Shenzhen for internship and employment. And seven more measures will help them to enjoy slightly better treatment than Shenzhen residents.

The policies attempt to cover all aspects of development for Hong Kong and Macao residents in Shenzhen. By building a comprehensive service system, the city can not only attract more Hong Kong and Macao residents, but also help them develop well, said an official of local authority.
