In the first 11 months of 2025, Guangdong's foreign trade totaled 8.61 trillion yuan, up 4.2% year-on-year, marking a record high for the same period. The province accounted for 20.9% of China's total imports and exports and contributed 23.8% to the country's overall trade growth. Exports amounted to 5.5 trillion yuan, up 2.1%, while imports rose 8% to 3.11 trillion yuan.

During this period, Guangdong recorded 5.01 trillion yuan in imports and exports under general trade, an increase of 3.9%, accounting for 58.2% of the province's total. Bonded logistics trade reached 1.74 trillion yuan, up 9.3%, while processing trade totaled 1.78 trillion yuan, up 0.5%.

Private enterprises reported 5.49 trillion yuan in imports and exports, up 4.4%, comprising 63.8% of Guangdong's total. Foreign-invested enterprises recorded 2.76 trillion yuan, up 6.7%, with growth accelerating by 0.4 percentage points from the first 10 months; their share also increased by 0.8 percentage points year-on-year.

Emerging markets expanded notably. ASEAN, Hong Kong SAR, and the EU remained Guangdong's top three trading partners, with trade values of 1.39 trillion, 1.15 trillion, and 1.03 trillion yuan, respectively, rising 5.8%, 11.3%, and 8.7%. Trade with the Middle East, Africa, and the five Central Asian countries grew by 7.8%, 10.4%, and 26%, respectively. Guangdong's trade with Belt and Road partner countries reached 3.32 trillion yuan, up 4.9%, accounting for 38.5% of the total.

New export sectors continued to develop. Guangdong exported 3.77 trillion yuan in mechanical and electrical products, up 7%, with their share of total exports rising 3.1 percentage points to 68.5%. Exports of core categories, including electronic components, computers and parts, and electrical equipment, grew by 19.3%, 10.1%, and 17.3%, respectively.

Several product categories also experienced strong growth, including agricultural machinery and machine tools, which were up 100.6% and 20.4%, respectively. Exports of drones and 3D printers increased by 43.4% and 28.5%, respectively.
