Thailand's business-friendly environment has made it one of the top overseas investment destinations for enterprises from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). Guangzhou and Thailand have maintained close economic and trade relations. On September 9th, the Guangzhou-Thailand Economic and Trade Exchange Meeting was held in Guangzhou, focusing on the business environment, investment policies, and industrial strengths of both sides to promote cooperation.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Kajtiti Wiwatwanont, Consul General of Thailand in Guangzhou, reviewed the long-standing friendship between the two countries, highlighted Thailand's investment advantages and market opportunities, and invited Guangzhou enterprises to invest and do business in Thailand.
Songrit Bhuket, Chairman of the Thai-Chinese Economy Association, said that lots of Thai Chinese come from Guangdong Province. This makes him feel a strong connection whenever he visits Guangzhou. "We are brothers and sisters. One family." The association is committed to serving as a bridge, actively fostering communication and cooperation between businesses of the two countries. Several representatives of Guangzhou enterprises also shared their development cases in Thailand, delving into discussions about setting up companies in Thailand, the application prospects of artificial intelligence in China-Thailand cooperation, and e-commerce resource alignment between the two countries.
