First AI tourism and culture intelligent agent officially launched in Chancheng District, Foshan City.
On May 16, Foshan's Chancheng District officially introduced "Fo Xiaochan" (佛小禪), the first AI-powered cultural tourism agent in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Equipped with advanced models such as DeepSeek, it provides 24/7 personalized smart services for global tourists. On the same day, over 20 digital and immersive cultural tourism projects were also launched.
The agent offers features such as travel route selection, AI-guided tours, food recommendations, and weather alerts. Through human-AI interaction, it can also tell stories, book accommodations, check routes, and suggest dining options for travelers worldwide—all free of charge.

"Fo Xiaochan" exemplifies Foshan's innovative approach to cultural tourism development. In recent years, Foshan has vigorously promoted "tourism + all industries", actively exploring new models, formats, and scenarios for cultural and tourism integration. By embracing digital technologies like AI and VR, the city is fostering new productive forces in the cultural tourism sector.
Chancheng will introduce 100 new cultural-commercial-tourism projects over the next three years.
Chancheng District, in particular, has proposed an integrated cultural-commercial-tourism ecosystem plan, shaping the city's branding as "Millennium Foshan, Lingnan's Vibrant Life". It is expanding into new sectors such as "cultural tourism + leisure," "cultural tourism + consumption," and "cultural tourism + technology," with plans to introduce 100 new cultural-commercial-tourism projects over the next three years.
