The Third Session of the 14th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress is scheduled to be held from January 15 to 18 at the Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou. It was announced at a press conference held in Guangzhou on January 9.

There will be seven priorities on the conference agenda during the session. First, hear and review the work report of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government.

Second, review and approve the report on the implementation of the 2024 Economic and Social Development Plan of Guangdong Province and the draft of the 2025 Economic and Social Development Plan of Guangdong Province.

Third, review the reports on Guangdong Province's 2024 budget implementation and the report of the 2025 draft budget, along with the 2025 draft budget. The session will also approve the report on Guangdong Province's  2024 budget implementation, the 2025 draft budget, and the 2025 budget at the provincial level.

Fourth, hear and review the work report of the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.

Fifth, hear and review the work report of the Guangdong Provincial Higher People's  Court.

Sixth, hear and review the work report of the Guangdong Provincial People's Procuratorate and other issues.

A total of 68 representatives from the 49 consulates general in Guangzhou will be invited to attend the conference.
