The 2024 World Science & Technology of Life Conference took place from December 7 to December 8 in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. With the theme of "New quality productive forces leading the high-quality development of the life and health industry," the conference aimed to promote the integration of life sciences, clinical medicine, and health entrepreneurship. It gathered some of the brightest minds from the global medical, scientific, and industrial communities, while also attracting leaders from politics, business, and economics. The event focused on the "life and health" sector and showcased the collaborative and innovative achievements of scientists worldwide.

Over 30 academicians attended the event, along with more than 2,000 scholars, clinical experts, and industry leaders. During the conference, the list of winners of the 11th Shulan Medical Award was announced, and several significant events took place, including the signing ceremony for the Life Science Innovation Joint Research Center and the unveiling ceremony of the Anti-Infection Health Promotion Alliance.

The conference also invited dozens of top experts and scholars in medical science, as well as more than 100 young scientists and medical professionals, to discuss various topics, including the intersection of engineering technology, information technology, biotechnology, and clinical medicine, as well as academic achievements in applied clinical practices and transformations.

In addition, more than 40 academicians and experts were invited to form a delegation to visit the Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Innovation in Hengqin.

As Hengqin continues to foster an environment of technological advancement and research excellence, the conference provided a platform for global experts to exchange ideas, explore new opportunities, and build partnerships that will shape the future of healthcare.
