A new urban check-in facility at Panyu Hotel has officially opened, further strengthening transport links between Guangdong and Hong Kong. The facility, launched on March 31, enhances the multi-modal transport network of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), offering travelers a seamless journey to the city's aviation hub.

Located in the bustling district of Panyu, the terminal provides travelers with flight information, ticket purchases, and direct coach services to HKIA. With 38 daily departures, the service caters to high passenger demand. From April, self-service check-in kiosks will be introduced, allowing passengers to complete boarding formalities and print boarding passes, making travel more efficient.

HKIA has been expanding its presence across the Greater Bay Area by establishing urban terminals in key cities, making travel more convenient for residents and visitors. Further developments are on the horizon, including the opening of a parking facility at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge's artificial island. This, along with the implementation of the 'Southbound travel for Guangdong cars (粵車南下)' policy, is expected to allow Guangdong residents to drive to Hong Kong for flights, park at the island terminal, and take a direct shuttle to HKIA's SkyPier, enjoying the same tax refund benefits as other multi-modal transport users.

In addition, with the Canton Fair approaching, HKIA and Cathay Pacific will continue to operate a dedicated service counter at the event, assisting travelers with check-in and baggage handling.
